Preyashi, a 2003 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, has been appointed for a period of five years or on co-terminus basis with the Minister's tenure, said an official order issued yesterday by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
She has been appointed in the Department of Legal Affairs in the Ministry of Law and Justice, it said.
Prasad is also Minister for Communication and Information Technology.
In another appointment, Suresh Kumar Vashishth has been appointed as Private Secretary to Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram.
