Bandh for separate district turns violent in Jangoan

Tension prevailed at Jangoan in Waragnal district of Telangana today as agitators demanding a separate district turned violent.
An RTC bus and a police jeep were torched and ten other RTC buses alongwith six private vehicles were damaged, police said.
Joint Action Committee of Jangoan had given a call for bandh to press the demand of creation of the new district of Jangoan.
The agitators tried to attack MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy's house too.
As they staged a dharna at Chowrstha, traffic from Hyderabad came to a standstill.
Police detained several JAC leaders.
