A Chatterjee (30), a local resident who was supposed to board a flight to Bangkok, was intercepted by the on-duty CISF personnel at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBI), officials said.
During his frisking, the CISF officials found that something was concealed in his bag and, hence, the passenger was subjected to a thorough check.

"The man has been handed over to the Customs authorities for further investigation," a CISF spokesperson said at the forces headquarters in Delhi.
Chatterjee was travelling to Bangkok, he added.
The value of the seized foreign currency was about Rs one crore, he said.
Last week, in a similar instance, a man bound for Bangkok was held at this airport for allegedly taking out foreign currency worth Rs 19 lakh.
