A bus of Rajshahi-bound Keya Paribahan collided with Gurudaspur Upazila-bound bus in Natore district yesterday, leaving at least 20 others injured.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed grief over the mishap on Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway.
Several of those seriously injured passed away at hospital bringing the death toll to 34, bdnews24 reported.
Both the prime minister and health minister have ordered authorities to get proper treatment for the injured. Ten additional doctors have been deployed for the treatment.
An investigation has been launched into the accident. A three-member committee led by Additional District Magistrate Mohammad Ali has been asked to file a report within three working days.
