Bangladeshi woman detained for illegal stay
Khalida Rajjak had come to Mumbai first after which her brother-in-law advised her to go to Indore in search of a job, Senior Superintendent of Police Sai Manohar said.
To verify her antecedents, Madhya Pradesh police contacted Bangladesh Embassy after which it was found that she did not have proper documents.
Rajjak was neither carrying a valid passport with an Indian visa, nor was she acquainted with Hindi or English language, he said.
Police are investigating whether the woman has any contacts in Indore, he added.
