Bank heist in Malda

A UCO bank branch in West
Bengal's Malda district was broken in and looted of Rs 12.37 lakh on Christmas night, police said today.
The looters entered the Enayatpur branch of the bank, which had no night guards after sawing the grill yesterday.
They cut the CCTV links, switched off the fire alarm before breaking open the vault and looting the money, the police said.
The incident came to light today when the locals found the grills cut.
A case was registered with the police and investigations are on.
