The IAS officer of 1984 batch (MP Cadre) will succeed Anonty DeSa who will be retiring from the service on October 31, an official of the Public Relation department of the Madhya Pradesh government said.
Singh will take charge of his new assignment from November 1.
The orders to appoint Singh as the new CS of the state was issued by the Madhya Pradesh government this morning.
As per the practise, he will initially take charge as OSD of the Chief Secretary Office from today and as full- fledged CS from November 1, the official said.
