Globally, industrial metal copper and zinc scored the biggest one-day gains in over two years in early trade after comments by US Federal Reserve officials helped calm global markets, including hard-hit stocks in top metals consumer China.
Nickle climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 825 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 815 and zinc gained Rs 5 per kg to Rs 158 as compared to Rs 153.
Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar and brass sheet cutting edged up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 408, Rs 396, Rs 436 and Rs 308 as against to Rs 405, Rs 393, Rs 433 and Rs 305, respectively.
