"We will not allow government to de-nationalise Goa. We won't allow grants to be continued to English medium schools during the next academic year," Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) leader Subhash Velingkar told a press conference.
He said that BBSM plans to organise a massive protest rally on August 7 in Panaji city as a show of strength in support of Indian languages as medium of education.
"We don't mind governments giving grants to schools in any Indian language," he said.
Several buses were stoned and traffic was brought to a standstill due to the agitation.
BBSM has also demanded that all those involved in the FORCE agitation should be arrested by the police.
"The police knows who were involved in chaos on the road. They should be arrested," Velingkar said.
