Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore broke the news during a recent visit to CinemaCon in Las Vegas, reported Aceshowbiz.
The two beasts are responsible for the shocking death of Donatello in the latest issue of "Ninja Turtles" comic book. It is unclear who will play these two baddies in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sequel.
The upcoming second movie, developed under the working title "Half-Shell", is rumoured to be helmed by Dave Green ("Earth to Echo").
Michael Bay returns as a producer, and Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec will write the script once again.
The four titular turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo,and Donatello, were motion-captured by Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, and Jeremy Howard, while Splinter was played by Danny Woodburn on the set.
Fox and Arnett will return for the sequel which is plotted for June 3, 2016. They will get on-screen love interests played by Stephen Amell and Alessandra Ambrosio.
