Replying to a question on whether the state is taking any action in reopening of Ess Dee's Kamarhati unit, Ghatak said as the company had not announced any lock-out or closure, the question of reopening did not arise.
A company requires state's permission for lock-out or closure, but if it is suspension of work no permission is required, Ghatak told PTI later.
The Ess Dee informing the bourses earlier had said since July 2016, Kamarhati unit remained under suspension of work.
