"The entire team of 'Bela Seshe' is completely thrilled with this news. It is indeed a big feat for a film to continue its dream run for 200 days, I am truly overwhelmed with the love the audiences are showering upon the film," director Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay said in a statement.
Directed by Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy, "Bela Seshe" stars Dadasaheb Phalke awardee Soumitra Chatterjee and veteran actress Swatilekha Sengupta.
The film's story deals with the aftermath of an aged couple's decision to seek divorce after five decades of marriage and how their three daughters, a son and their spouses deal with it.
"After a long time we are witnessing families flocking to cinemas and repeat viewings in Bengal. The success of this film goes to show how good content will always be a winner," Nandu Ahuja of Eros International Media, who distributed the film, said.
