Hospitality firm Berggruen is planning to open up to 10 properties under its mid-segment Keys Hotels brand across India in the next 18 months as part of its expansion plans in the country.
"We are planning to open up to 10 hotels under the Keys brand in next 18 months. The hotels will be under management contract and franchise models," Berggruen Hotels CEO Anshu Sarin told PTI.
The company is committed to expanding the Keys Hotels footprint across smart cities and will adopt asset light strategy to support this growth, she said.
Berggruen Hotels had recently launched two properties under its Keys Hotels brand in Vishakhapatnam, Calicut and one under its budget brand Keys Lite in Jaipur.
At present, there are 25 hotels under the brand in 18 cities across India. Berggruen Hotels is funded by Berggruen Holdings, a New York-headquartered proprietary fund.
