The country's economic prowess is such that by providing better life to one billion Indians, the problems of the world would be solved, Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha said today.
"If we solve India's problem through breakthrough innovation, friends, then we are solving the world's problems. We are solving the problem of the next six billion people on the planet... And that is our prowess," he said while addressing "Innofest" at the Indian Institute of Science here.
The event was organised by iSPIRT, a think-tank working for the cause of Indian Software Product Industry.
"As we bring prosperity, wealth, product and services to these billions of people, you will get wealthy, India will get wealthy. We will prosper, but also solve the problem of Nigeria, Indonesia, Bolivia, South Africa... We will solve their problems as well because their problems are India's problems," Sinha added.
He said the one billion people should be provided better life which is required to be plugged into the current global digital economy.
"We have one billion people in India that are trying to get into the middle class. They want a better life for themselves and their family, but they have not yet got access to all the basic amenities and facilities. These facilities are required to be plugged into the global digital economy of today and that must be our mission and must work on," he said.
Sinha laid emphasis on solving problems by fulfilling the four dreams of solar, healthy, educated and clean India.
