"BGR Energy in order to mitigate the sluggishness in the thermal power sector is in the pursuit of opportunities in other sectors in India and International market", the Chennai-based company said in a statement.
BGR Energy received the Letter of Intent (LOI) for two numbers of natural draught cooling towers from BHEL for their 2x660MW Suratgarh Project in Rajasthan.
Recently, the company completed construction of world's tallest cooling towers for Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam project in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, it said.
The company also received an award worth Rs 34.72 crore for construction of water treatment plant on EPC basis, it said.
"The company carries an order book of Rs 11,667 crore", the statement said.
