Bhiwani hottest at 43.6 degrees C as heat wave sweeps Hry & Pb

The heat wave continued to sweep across most parts of Punjab and Haryana today, with Bhiwani sizzling at 43.6 degrees Celsius.
While Bhiwani was hotter by three notches against normal, Hisar also braved a hot day at 41 degrees Celsius, up two notches, a MeT department report said.
Blistering heat swept Karnal at 42 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal while Ambala's maximum settled at 41.4 degrees Celsius, up three notches, the report said.
Chandigarh residents also experienced another hot day at 41 degrees Celsius, three notches more than normal.
Amritsar in Punjab also braved the hot weather recording a high of 43 degrees Celsius, five notches more than normal.
Ludhiana had a hot day at 42.5 degrees Celsius, up four notches while Patiala's maximum settled at 42.2 degrees Celsius, also four notches above normal.
