Bhopal Collector,BMC head take stock of night shelter facility

Bhopal District Collector Nishant Warvade along with Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishesh Garhpale convened a meeting of corporation zonal officers to take stock of "Rainbaseras", shelters provided to the homeless people in chilly weather conditions.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had been for the last few days himself visiting "Rainbaseras" zone wise on foot at night to ensure full protection to people spending their life on roadside in cold.
According to official sources, the Collector expressed satisfaction over the management of Rainbasera by the municipal corporation in the city and instructed zonal officers in the meeting yesterday to use all options to provide much better facilities to the people staying at Rainbasera.
Warwade told zonal officers to pursue poor people staying and spending night on the road side to take shelter at the Rainbasera to save themselves from cold.
He also instructed zonal officers for better maintenance of Rainbasera along with all necessary facilities like routine cleanliness and more toilet facilities to attract more poor people to leave their permanent shelter at road side or places near hospitals and come there.
Warwade also instructed the officers to provide television facilities at those Rainbaseras where there was no TV for entertainment.
The Collector also expressed satisfaction over the work of corporation for providing fire wood at busiest places in the city for warming people during winter, sources said.
Those who were present in the meeting were Additional Commissioner, Sanjay Kumar and GP Mali, Dy Commissioner, Pradeep Verma and all zonal officers.
