"We have installed a big electronic screen to show live feed of Rio Olympics," Mayor, East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC), Satya Sharma said.
A tricolour was hoisted during the function.
Sharma said "we have also installed a 'Wall of Wishes' to cheer the Indian players competing at the 31st Olympic Games in Brazil".
On the occasion, EDMC Standing Committee Chairman Jitender Choudhary said "it is a way to connect with the public at large, especially children and youths, in keeping with the Olympic spirit.
