A total of 17,63,423 candidates are taking matriculation examination in all 38 districts at 1532 centres. Among the total candidates boys are 8,97,168 while there are 8,66,255 girl examinees.
Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Anand Kishore himself moved around different exam centres in Patna and frisked examinees, a BSEB statement said.
The Chairman took stock of arrangement at examination centres.
CCTV cameras have been installed in examination centres to prevent cheating.
On the first day of the examination, a total of 28 students were expelled across the state on charge of cheating, the BSEB release said.
