On the first death anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Wednesday urged the people to follow the BJP's philosophy for the prosperity of the state and the north eastern region.
The Bharatiya Janata Party observed the death anniversary of Vajpayee at its party office in Canchipur in Imphal West distrct of Manipur, a state ruled by the saffron party.
"If we follow and work as per the BJP's philosophy and ideology, the state as well as the North East region will prosper," Biren said.
He also said the state would miss a grand opportunity to achieve all-round development if it does not take assistance from the Centre.
Recalling Vajpayee, who passed away on this day last year, the chief minister said the BJP's success came following the path undertaken by the former prime minister.
