The event, 'Amritavarsham-60,' will be held on the university campus of Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham adjacent to the ashram of Mata at Vallikkavu in Kollam district, according to Mata Amritanandamayi Math sources.
The Math would announce new educational endeavours, confer cultural awards, release spiritual books and conduct an international summit aimed at the uplift of India's rural population.
Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences at Kochi would provide Rs 50 crore worth of free kidney transplants, cardiac surgeries and cancer treatment facilities to the poor across the country to mark the event.
