The ruling BJD's student wing today demanded resignation of Union minister Prakash Javadekar, protesting against the CBSE Board's decision to reconduct two papers of Class X and Class XII.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to reconduct examinations for Mathematics paper of Class X and Economics paper of Class XII.
The activists of the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD) gheraoed the CBSE office here pressing for their demand.
"Why is Prime Minister Narendra Modi silent at a time when the future of lakhs of students is at stake? He should take responsibility and answer. We demand resignation of Javadekar for his incompetency," said BCJD president, Rana Pratap Patra.
Patra also demanded a high-level probe into the leak to bring the culprits to book.
