BJP appeals to non-Cong MPs, MLAs from J-K to vote for Sangma

"We appeal to all the non-Congress MPs and MLAs from Jammu and Kashmir to vote in favour of Sangma who is better choice than UPA candidate Pranab Mukherjee in all aspects as he is honest, upright and has clean image in politics," BJP legislative party leader Jugal Kishore Sharma told reporters here today.

He said victory of Sangma as the next President of India is in the interest of the nation. "His tenure as the Speaker of Lok Sabha was splendid and he worked in a very effective way," he said.

"Every one knows that the UPA has set new records in corruption, price rise and it totally failed to provide a people-friendly government at the Centre. Being the former Cabinet Minister in the UPA government, Mukherjee has equal responsibility for whatever the nation and its citizens are facing," he said.
