BJP today hit back at Rahul Gandhi for asking Narendra Modi to "stop fooling" people and said terming as "ullus"(fools) angry electorate seeking ouster of Congress is against all democratic norms.

BJP leader Arun Jaitley said Rahul Gandhi must accept that people are angry with the Congress.

"They are not 'ullus' when they vote against the Congress. The prospects of defeat should not make a leader lose his graciousness. Those who vote against the Congress may have good reasons to do so. The angry voter is not a four letter word that Rahul Gandhi has chosen to describe them", he said.

BJP Spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said, "Let me remind him (Rahul) that when it is the fear of losing power and the governance of the country, the Congress leadership should not lose their graciousness, because we in BJP have complete faith in the wisdom of the voters of this country.

"We know the angry voter of this country has decided to change the discourse towards the symbol of Lotus and that angered the 'Shehzaada' and he uses a four-letter word to describe the angry voter by losing its graciousness is not called for. It is against the democratic norm of this country," she told reporters.

The party said 122 parliamentary constituencies are going for elections today, with almost half of India voting, the direction in which this election is going is being determined by voters of this country.

The opposition party also said the third front is a non-starter.
