"BJP is the most secular party as it believes in 'insaf' (justice) and 'Insaniyat' (humanity). Congress is most communal party in the country as it plays the communal card," BJP President Rajnath Singh told reporters here.
Singh said to a question about Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's remark on the saffron party.
Patnaik had recently dubbed BJP as "communal."
Singh, who along with party's senior leader L K Advani, visited the state to attend a wedding ceremony, however, did not give any direct reply.
Claiming that BJP was the only party to provide a stable government to the people of India, Singh said: "BJP had never forged any alliance or understanding with the Congress in the past nor it would go for it in future."
Stating that BJP's aim was to make a "Congress free" India, Singh said the party has fielded a tested leader like Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial candidate.
"Narendra Modi has made Gujarat a model state in the country. He can provide a good governance to the people," Singh said adding that there is "Modi Toofan" across the country.
Continuing the party's tirade against Congress, Singh said the UPA government has failed in all fronts besides totally weakening country's economy.
Replying a question on the post poll alliance with BJD or any other party, Singh said: "I will not like to answer on hypothetical questions."
On the multi-crore mining scam in Odisha, Singh said the BJP would probe into all corruption cases after it returns to power.
