BJP conveys condolences over China earthquake

The Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed its grief and condolences over the death and destruction caused by the earthquake in China's Sichuan province.
"We express solidarity with our Chinese friends and share their pains and sorrow in the wake of earthquake hitting Sichuan," Tarun Vijay, the national spokesman for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said in a message to state-run Xinhua news agency.
Vijay, who is also member of Parliamentary Consultative Committee on External Affairs and member of India-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, said, "I had been visiting Sichuan, specially Chengdu many times and have many friends over there. I wish them all safety and send good wishes on behalf of the people of India."

"In this hour of grief we express our solidarity with our Chinese friends and convey our condolences to the families of the people who suffered loss of life in this incident. We pray for the early stabilisation of the situation and recovery of the injured," Xinhua quoted him as saying.
