"Police has arrested only one person under political pressure whereas there had been involvement of at least seven persons in the case and we demand a CBI inquiry into it", national president of BJP's OBC cell S P Singh Baghel said here.
Baghel said that the body of the girl, who was preparing for recruitment into the CRPF, was found in Ballia on January 24 and police arrested one person while others who "enjoyed the patronage of two senior SP leaders were spared".
He warned that in case these demands were not met the agitation for the same will be held at the state level.
He also presented the family of the deceased before the media.
Rajesh Sahni has been arrested for allegedly raping and murdering the woman with whom he was involved in a relationship in Ballia, police said.
Body of the woman with her throat slit was recovered on January 24. One of her fingers was also cut off.
