The party's national secretary Kirit Somaiya alleged that the tender was scrapped to benefit a private firm and it caused a delay of two years.

Rajasthan Rajya Vidhyut Utpadan Nigam (RRVUN) had invited bids for setting up of two projects in 2010 in which BHEL, BGR Energy System and Power Machines Russia had submitted their bids.

Power Machines was technically disqualified and the BHEL was emerged as the lowest bidders.

"The government delayed the project for two years and did not award work contract to BHEL and suddenly scrapped the tender in April this year. It seems that the government wants to favour a private firm whose financial bid was high as compared to BHEL. We demand a probe into the matter by a special investigation team," Somaiya said.

He also alleged the state government awarded contract to run 108 ambulance service to a private company despite its disqualification for the project.
