The ruling BJP in Tripura is gearing up its party machinery to win the states two Lok Sabha seats and has resolved to work closely with its ally -- Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT), a state party functionary said Sunday.

The decision to gear up the party machinery, strengthen all the booths and work in close coordination with the alliance partner, IPFT, was taken in the meeting of the partys core committee on Sunday," General Secretary of the state unit of the BJP, Rajeev Bhattacharya told PTI.

Among others, the meeting was attended by BJP's National General Secretary Ram Madhav, Party in-charge Sunil Deodhar, state party president and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.

We shall discuss with IPFT and make sure that the two parties contest as a united force in the LS polls," Bhattacharya said.

Deodhar said he was confident of a landslide victory in two Lok Sabha constituency seats from the state.

We will win all the two Lok Sabha seats with huge margin. There is no effective opposition here. Whoever would contest would lose their security deposit. We would gift two lotus flowers from Tripura to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who would win again in the Parliament elections, he said.

Ram Madhav said he came to look after the political activities in the state.

I have not come to Tripura since the government was formed. The state governments performance is good in the run-up to panchayat by-elections. I have come to see the political activity here," he said.

Chief Minister and BJP state president Biplab Kumar Deb wrote on his official Twitter handle that he joined the core committee meeting here.

Earlier, Deodhar announced that his party would contest on its own in the two Lok Sabha seats.

The two allies would also engage in a friendly contest against each other in the coming panchayat bye-elections on September 30.
