Abhay Bang and his wife Rani Bang are working on community and rural health in this backward and naxal-affected district through their NGO Society For Education, Action and Research In Community Health (SEARCH).

"Health ministers of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa will on October 8 attend a day-long workshop at Shodhgram here on initiative of BJP president Nitin Gadkari," Bang told PTI over phone.

The ministers will be acquainted with the SEARCH experiment on reducing infant mortality rate, he said.

The SEARCH's experiment on launching doorstep service on neonatal care has been accepted as the national programme by the Indian government.
