"To commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Prime Minister has asked the people to participate in the nationwide cleanliness drive, in this context the state wing of BJP will overwhelmingly take part in this drive," BJP state spokesperson Sunil Sethi said here today.
He said apart from cleaning the surroundings, BJP leaders will appeal to the people not to throw garbage in the open.
"Outsiders say that India is a big garbage dump and the new government led by Narendra Modi has pledged to change this image. The cleanliness drive in the state will not be limited to just one day, but will continue till the entire state become neat and clean," Sethi said.
