At a meeting in Purulia's Jhalda, BJP district in-charge Shyamapada Mondal had yesterday said unparliamentary words against the chief minister.
State BJP President Rahul Sinha said they had issued a showcause notice to Mondal after which he had apologised.
"It is unfortunate and it should not have happened. We should not give reply to anyone's misdeeds by using filthy words. He has been warned of never repeating it," Sinha told PTI.
Sinha said that at a personal level he was apologetic to all women folk and also to the chief minister.
Mondal had last week threatened that hands of TMC activists would be severed if "any more atrocity was committed" on BJP workers for quitting Trinamool Congress.
He had also apologised after getting showcause notice by the party.
