BJP leader gets extortion call

A BJP leader has allegedly received extortion calls for Rs 20 lakh, police said today.
Sarafabad resident and BJP leader Ghanshyam Yadav has lodged an FIR with the Sector 49 police station here, stating that he is getting extortion calls for Rs 20 lakh from unknown persons, DSP Raj Kumar Mishra said.
The caller has threatened to kill Yadav if he dosent pay up.
He received the first call on Wednesday. Then on Thursday and Friday too he got extortion calls from different numbers, Mishra said.
"An investigation has been started through electronic surveillance to trace the unknown callers," the DSP said.
