Sources said the poll panel, chaired by party president Rajnath Singh of which senior party leaders like L K Advani, Narendra Modi, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley are members, will meet on March 8 to discuss and decide on the party candidates from bigger states.
Among the bigger states that will be discussed in the next meeting of CEC are Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Katnataka, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and others.
The party has already declared its first list of 54 candidates on February 27 who include former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, ex-Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shanta Kumar, party's deputy leader in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde and Yuva Morcha chief Anurag Thakur.
