Sitting BJP MLA from Mundawar in Alwar, Dharam Pal Choudhary, died at a private hospital in Gurugram early today, his family said.
He was suffering from a liver problem for some time, his brother Subhash Chaudhary said.
The 64-year old Choudhary is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
The last rites of the three-time MLA will be performed this evening at his ancestral village Jat Behror in Mundawar area of Alwar.
Chief minister Vasundhara Raje condoled the death of Choudhary, saying it was a personal loss for the entire BJP family.
In a series of tweets, she said Choudhary was a popular and active leader of Alwar and prayed for peace of the departed soul.
