"My candidature has been cleared by the parliamentary board of the party. I will be filing my nomination on July 11 at 11.30 am," Tendulkar told reporters today.
The elections for the Rajya Sabha seat in Goa would be held on July 21.
The coalition partners in Manohar Parrikar government including Goa Forward Party, MGP and independents have already pledged support to Tendulkar's candidature, paving his way into the upper house smooth.
However, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will not be present when Tendulkar files his nomination papers as he is on a tour to the US and is expected to return on July 13.
