BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have not learnt any lesson from the poll debacle in Bihar as they have failed to take slightest action even "suspension for an hour of any motormouth", Congress said today.
"It is all politics to fool the people. The Prime Minister is the top leadership but not the slightest action against anyone.
"No penal action. No coercive action. There is no expulsion but there is not even suspension. No suspension even for an hour of any motormouth...Not learnt a single lesson from Bihar," party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters.
Noting that there has been long list of leaders of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar who have made controversial statements in the past 18 months, he said, they included Vinay Katiyar, Mohan Bhagwat, Sakshi Maharaj, Giriraj Singh and Kailash Vijayvargiya.
In an apparent reference to the Shatrughan Sinha issue, he said what was a matter of worry was that Vijayvargiya was not proceeded against even after making a controversial statement against a BJP leader which kicked up a row.
He said what is being witnessed was politics of deception as Prime Minister was "running with the hare and hunting with the hound" to keep the core constituency happy so also RSS which has got the "remote control".
"We see political discourse by the BJP-NDA, deteriorating into the level of 'Gutter', we have silence from the top level and we have homilies from other levels? Spokespersons say this is wrong, this should not be done.
"The Finance Minister attributes the defeat to motormouth but Sir, where is the concrete action taken? What is the use of Finance Minister giving us all the homilies when neither he nor his party - 'Sheershasth Netritva' of the BJP - has taken the slightest action", he remarked.
