BJP retains power in Trimbakeshwar Municipal Council

The BJP has retained power in the Trimbakeshwar Municipal Council (TMC) in the Nashik district by winning 14 of the total 17 seats, in the election, results for which were declared today.
BJP candidate Purushottam Lohgaonkar was declared as the Council's president, officials attached to the district administration said.
While BJP won 14 seats, Shiv Sena bagged two seats and and an independent candidate got elected on a lone seat, they said.
Trimbakeshwar, around 30 kilometres from, is one of the 12 'Jyotirlingas' in the country.
