"Whenever BJP came to power (at the Centre), it put hurdles in the regularisation of unauthorised colonies," chief spokesperson of PCC Mukesh Sharma said, adding that this time too the fate of 895 unauthorised colonies regularised by the Congress government had become uncertain.
Sharma said Congress had taken a historic decision to regularise 895 unauthorised colonies in the city.
The Congress-led Delhi Government had also allowed in principle and by law utilisation of MLA and Municipal Councillor funds for the development of these colonies, he said.
Sharma said he has requested the Lt Governor to intervene in the matter and ensure that the MCD prepared the lay-out plans of these colonies as quickly as possible.
