BJP seeks action against Mann for turning up drunk at ceremony

The BJP today urged Aam Aadmi Party to take action against MP Bhagwant Mann for attending religious 'Bhog' ceremony (ritual after death) of two Sikh youths killed in police firing at Bargari in Faridkot allegedly under the influence of liquor.
BJP National Secretary Tarun Chugh strongly criticized Mann and urged AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to take necessary action against him.
"It is now an open secret that the MP went and sat there on the stage near Guru Granth Sahib while he was under the influence of liquor," Chugh said.
He has not only shown disrespect to Guru Granth Sahib but also hurt Sikh sentiments, he said.

Chugh said it was tragic that when entire the Punjab was anguished over the incidents of desecration of holy book and deaths of two youths in police firing at Bargari, the Sangrur MP attended the 'Bhog' in a drunken state.
Mann, satirist-cum-politician was not available for reaction after the incident.
TV channels had yesterday showed Mann facing an angry group of people who were -accusing him of being in inebriated state at the ceremony following which he had to leave the venue.
