Claiming that the BJP received three-fourth of its donation from 2004-15 by donors who paid less than Rs 20,000, AAP leader Ashish Khetan said the party should come clean on its funding source.
Khetan also demanded that changes, which were allegedly made to benefit the BJP and Congress, in the Foreign Contribution Regulations Acts be reversed.
"The other loophole is that while there is a limit on the money spent by a candidate, there is no limit on the funds spent by the party.
In his rally at Kanpur, Modi had said he given a suggestion at an all-party meeting convened before the Winter session of Parliament that a debate should be held on simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and state assemblies and donations to political parties.
"Modi ji has said that he is ready to bring about transparency in political funding. He gave this suggestion in an all-party meet but there was no discussion on it. If Modi Sarkar is serious about ending black money in election funding it will merely take two days to execute," Khetan said.
