BJP spreading rumours to tarnish my image: Virbhadra

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today accused BJP of launching vilification campaign against him to divert the attention of the people from development agenda of his government.
Singh said the state BJP leaders have been indulging in slander, spreading rumours and misinformation to tarnish his image but he would come out clean and emerge stronger.
While the government was implementing developmental agenda, BJP has launched vilification campaign to divert the attention of the people, he said while addressing a public meeting at Sinhuta in Chamba district.
He said that earlier also the BJP government had implicated him in CD case and Kattha case and in both the cases he was exonerated and got a clean chit from the courts.
Announcing opening of Degree College at Sinhuta and its upgradation from Sub-Tehsil to Tehsil, the Chief Minister said the state has made big strides in field of education.
He said that an IIIT was coming in Una, IIM at Dhaulakuan in Sirmaur district, AIIMS in Bilaspur district. Also plans for three more medical colleges at Chamba, Hamirpur and Nahan are in the pipeline.
Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board Chairman who was present at the function said that Virbhadra Singh was not only the tallest leader of the state but one of the most reputed and respected politician of the country as well.
The Government was strong and stable and all attempts by opposition to destabilise the government would be futile, he said.
