The two-day BJP state executive committee meeting today passed a resolution to take up the issue of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Sahibganj and Pakur districts of Jharkhand, with the Centre.
Party's state unit vice-president and MLA Ananth Ojha said the resolution adopted on the last day of the meeting demanded the state should talk to the Centre for setting up a commission or special task force to identify the infiltrators and send them back to Bangladesh as the situation has become "alarming".
Accusing parties like Congress and regional parties of being pseudo secularisma and increasing communalism, Ojha said the infiltrators should be sent back for the sake of the security of the country.
The meeting also resolved to take up the issue of displacement under the Massanjore dam understanding as the land belonging to the farmers there submerged, while the benefit went to neighbouring West Bengal "as the Congress did not take any interest in the last 50 years".
The meeting also lauded Chief Minister Raghubar Das for defining the local policy which was a historic step that would prevent migration of the tribal youth.
Party's state unit President Tala Marandi, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, former chief minister Arjun Munda, central minister Sudarshan Bhagat, Jharkhand Affairs incharge Ram Vichar Netam, former state present and MP Ravindra Rai, several cabinet ministers and other leaders participated in the two-day meeting.
