The BJP today sought dismissal of Bihar health minister Ramdhani Singh for allegedly getting his daughter recruited as the Grade III Librarian at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences here by flouting norms.
Singh should be sacked as he has got his over 37 year-old daughter Anita Kumari appointed as the librarian in the IGIMS in gross violation of norms in terms of qualification and age, in addition to being regularized after being recruited on contract basis initially earlier this year, the senior BJP leader and former deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters.
He also alleged that the Bihar Health Minister, who is the Ex-Officio Chairperson of the IGIMS Board of Governors, had used his influence in browbeating the officials to recruit his daughter as librarian on contract basis and regularizing her job later without advertizing for regular job, he alleged.
The senior BJP leader alleged that she had crossed over the age limit required for the job at 30 years by more than seven year and she also did not have the requisite qualification for the post as she did not have a degree for the B.Sc and possessed only the degree of Bachelor of Library Science.
Modi said that the BJP, if elected to power, would review the appointment of the health minister's daughter as a librarian in the IGIMS and take stringent action against all those officials involved in it.
Neither the health minister nor his daughter were available for comment on the BJP leader's charge.
