BJP will win LAHDC election on its own: Nirmal Singh

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh today claimed that the BJP will once again win the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) election on its own.
"BJP will once again write a new chapter in the LAHDC elections by winning majority of seats and form LAHDC on its own," Singh, also a senior BJP leader said here today.
He said that the Centre, State and LAHDC will work in unison for the development of the Ladakh region.
LAHDC elections will be held on October 17.
To discuss and finalise the party strategy for the forthcoming elections of LAHDC, the BJP State Election Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Singh in Jammu today.
The State BJP President and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma took part in Election Committee meeting.
Thread bare discussions were held on the party's planning, strategies regarding campaigning and recommending the names of candidates to the High Command for final approval.
Singh asked party leaders and workers to apprise people about various people friendly initiatives taken by the Central and State Governments to mobilise public support and votes in favour of BJP candidates.
Members of Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas and Thupstan Chhewang, Cooperative Minister Tsering Dorjey, State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Sofi Yousuf, senior leaders Chander Mohan Sharma and Som Raj Khajuria and Mahila Morcha State president Purnima Sharma attended this meeting as members.
