Black pepper slips low demand

Black pepper prices slipped in an otherwise lacklustre spices market here today following lower demand from stockists and exporters amid good supply.
All other spices ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.
Black pepper declined by Rs 5/10 per kg to Rs 735/800 from Monday's closing level of Rs 740/810.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 735/800 (740/810), ginger bleached (per kg) 160 (160), ginger unbleached (per kg) 180 (180), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,300 (5,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 5,200 (5,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,800 (9,800), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 6,900 (6,900).
