The 39-year-old country superstar played a 45-minute set at the Eau Claire, Wisc, festival before thunder and lightning forced him to end the set early.
"Sorry we got cut short Eau Claire... Next time we'll make up for it!," he tweeted to his 13 million followers.
At one point during the show, Shelton, 39, joked, "Man, this isn't my week" when the TV cameras failed to scan the crowd when he asked them to.
