A total of 1,67,12,808 voters, including 8,99,57,33 men, 77,96,647 women and 426 "others" will seal the fate of total 142 nominees.
The 10 constituencies going to polls on Thursday are Bhopal, Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho and Rajgarh.
While Scindia is contesting in Guna seat, Tomar is in the poll arena from Gwalior.
The campaign trail spiced up with the participation of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, BJP's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi, party president Rajnath Singh addressing rallies at various places.
The polling for 9 Lok Sabha seats in the state was held on the first-phase on April 10.
