The new car, which will be locally assembled at the company's plant at Chennai, is powered by a 'TwinPower Turbo' diesel engine producing an output of 190 hp with a top speed of of 250 km/hr, BMW India said in a statement.
"With the launch of the new BMW 320d Edition Sport, we go a step further in presenting a well-balanced portfolio of the BMW 3 Series," BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah said.
The model is equipped with safety features such as six air bags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist, dynamic stability control (DSC) and side-impact protection, among others.
