Singer Bob Geldof has found comfort in performing in the wake of the death of his daughter Peaches aged 25.
The 62-year-old singer, who revealed he hasn't slept properly since the socialite was found dead at her home after taking heroin on April 7, said that a recent comeback gig at Volkfest in Plymouth, Devon, has helped him cope with the loss, reported Contactmusic.
The Boomtown Rats star, who performed at the annual festival on May 25, said the experience was 'cathartic' and helped a 'part of him come out'.
"It's that thing people say - some other part of you comes out. And I guess that's right. In that regard, it's very cathartic.
"There's a lot of things going on in my head at the moment and you can just purge them and the crowd allow you to do that," Bob said.
"I'll sleep well tonight which is the first time in weeks I've slept well."
Peaches was found dead at her detached home in Wrotham, Kent, which she shared with her husband Thomas Cohen, 23, and their sons, 12-month-old Phaedra, and Astala, two.
